ArteActa. A Journal for Performing Arts and Artistic Research

ArteActa is a peer-reviewed journal founded in 2018. The publisher of the journal is the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. ArteActa journal is focused on performing arts and artistic research and its content follows three basic trajectories: the research of contemporary performing arts of the 20th and 21st centuries with an emphasis on audiovisual production, theatre, music, dance, and their interdisciplinary intersections; artistic research in performing arts encompassing the wide spectrum of the definition of the notion; essays, translations, and reviews of significant texts, as well as other research-related outputs. The main languages of the journal are Czech, Slovak and English.

ArteActa publishes articles and texts which meet the usual requirements set upon academic texts in the areas of science and research, at both formal and content levels, corresponding with the focus of the journal. Publication is guided by the ArteActa Journal’s Code of Ethics. Review pieces are guided by the following rules for the Review Process.
